How to care for your beaded jewelry, get repairs or request a return

Caring for your jewelry

Sadly all fashion jewelry is prone to tarnish over time. To help reduce tarnishing, always wipe clean your jewelry after wearing and store in a plastic bag.

Tips for caring for beaded jewelry:

  • Put jewelry on after applying lotion, perfume or hair spray.
    Repeated exposure to the chemicals in beauty products can causes your jewelry to lose shine
  • Remove jewelry before showering or swimming
    Dry you beaded jewelry as soon as possible and never store them wet
  • Wipe clean with a soft clean cloth after every use
  • DO NOT USE jewelry cleaners on beads – it can be harsh and damage the beads
  • Store in a plastic bag or jewelry box and keep in a cool dry place away from heat, mositure and direct sunlight
  • Hang necklace and eyeglass chains on a hook or peg to keep them from tangling

Repairs

ALL REPAIRS ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF MATERIALS AND TIME OF PURCHASE!

Special care is taken in the construction of all our jewelry, and we understand mishaps do happen. We will repair free of charge your jewelry if it breaks during normal wear within 2 months of purchase.

What to do when your jewelry breaks:

  1. Collect all beads, components, string/wire put in a ziplock bag
  2. Get in touch with us via your Etsy purchase order – click on the “Help with Order
    • Let us know you need item repaired
    • Let us know if you have all the beads/components or if there are any missing pieces
  3. We will reply with 24 hrs
    • If there are any missing beads that need to be replaces, we will let you know if we have the necessary materials in stock to do the necessary repairs
    • If you are unable to collect all the beads and/or we do not have the original beads in stock, we will do our best to substitute with similar beads.
    • Repair turnaround time is usually 1 week upon receipt

After 60 days, there will be a FEE to repair your any item.

• No missing beads – replace beading wire only
• Few missing beads – replace missing beads and beading wire
• More then 50% parts missing – replace beads and beading wire

Please contact us BEFORE returning any item for repair. We will let you know if materials are available and any repair fees.

Return item to us via USPS with TRACKING – We strongly recommend that you ship with delivery confirmation so you can track your package. We are not responsible for lost returns and cannot process a repair, return or exchange if we do not receive your item. We will notify you once we have recieved your package. Buyer are responsible for the shipping costs incurred to send the product back to us.

 

REPLACEMENT EARRINGS

If materials are available it is possible for us to do a replacement earring. As there is always variation in bead color, you will be required to return the remaining earring so we may try and match color. Replacement fee is 1/2 the original cost. Contact us to discuss availability.

Returns & Exchanges

Your satisfaction is important!

TheJewelryOwl” understand that buying from an Online shop is not the same as purchasing from a physical store. If you are not satisfied with your purchase you may RETURN or EXCHANGE unused, undamaged jewelry!

If the product received was defective or damaged, please contact me immediately with pictures. I will make every effort to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

 

RETURNS

  • We accept returns for a full refund up to 14 days of purchase
  • Product must be returned in their original condition, including the original packaging
  • Items damaged through normal wear or water do not qualify for a return or exchange
  • Buyer is responsible for the shipping costs for returning an item
  • We are not responsible for lost item being returned (it is advisable you add tracking when shipping items back to ensure delivery returned)
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund
  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you that we have received your returned item and status of your refund. Refunds are automatically applied to original method of payment


Jewelry must be returned in its original condition, unworn and unaltered in any way.

 We reserve the right to refuse a request if it does not comply with our policies


EXCHANGE

  • You can EXCHANGE unused, undamaged jewelry up to 14 days of purchase. As our items are handcrafted and not mass produced, stock is limited. If you would like to exchange your purchase, please contact me and I will let you know if the item you desire is still available. We will gladly hold the item for you.
